Everyday Healthy Habits

Teach your child to wash hands with soap for 20 seconds, cough or sneeze into an elbow and avoid sharing cups. Plenty of sleep and regular meals also help the immune system.

When to Keep Your Child Home

Keep your child home with a fever, vomiting, diarrhea or a rash with fever. Most schools ask that children be fever-free for 24 hours without medicine before returning.
